Arrow crabs sometimes known as spider crabs are an interesting and reef compatible invertebrate. Although they can reach a large size not all individuals will acheive these max sizes, also their narrow profile and spindly limbs mean they have a large footprint but are not really that large an animal.
Arrow crabs are considered reef safe as their main diet would consist of scavenged meaty items, like all crabs though they are opportunistic and therefore you must ensure they are kept reasonably well fed to avoid them looking to food sources they would not usually consume.
Arrow crabs are easy to keep and generally live a long time in the home aquarium, they will happily eat any meaty items as well as pellet foods. Apart from their interesting appearance they are beneficial in controlling bristle worms, they're well documented to eat small bristle worms when the opportunity arises.
Due to variations in species your item may not be identical to that featured in the image, we do however ensure the species is correct and that the markings and colors are very similar.
